MCON Underground is making significant progress on the excavation and construction of Cell #8 at the City of St. Joseph, MO Government landfill. The excavation phase has been successfully completed, marking a key milestone in the project. Currently, our team is focused on installing a 2-foot clay layer, meticulously applied in 6-inch lifts to ensure optimal compaction and structural integrity. This careful approach guarantees a stable foundation for the subsequent phases of the project.
Following the completion of the clay layer, MCON Underground will proceed with the installation of the poly liner, a critical component for environmental protection and containment. The rapid pace of progress reflects the team’s expertise and dedication to meeting project deadlines while maintaining high standards. Regular inspections and quality control measures are in place to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. We are excited about the advancements made and look forward to delivering a reliable and efficient landfill cell for the City of St. Joseph.
