The M•CON underground team is advancing steadily on the Olathe, Kansas Commons project, focusing on the installation of both storm water and sanitary sewer systems. Crews have been laying substantial quantities of new utility pipe, including more than 7,500 feet of 4-inch and 8-inch water lines. The project also includes placing 1,400 feet of reinforced concrete pipe and 11,120 feet of HDPE storm water pipe. In addition, the team is installing 8,442 feet of SDR26 sanitary pipe to support long-term system capacity. All work is progressing according to schedule as crews continue moving through each installation phase.
This scope represents a significant underground infrastructure effort for the site, requiring careful coordination across multiple utilities. The volume of storm and sanitary pipe being placed ensures the development will have reliable drainage and wastewater handling. Water line installation is also a key element, supporting future service connections as the site is built out. Each segment is being installed with attention to quality and long-term performance. The team’s steady progress reflects consistent field productivity and disciplined construction planning.
